This is a lifestyle change NOT A DIET!

well shit I already made a great post and apparently it didn't post... efffff

It's crazy to me how far I have come. For lunch instead of having a bacon cheeseburger, chili cheese fries, a couple of large chocolate chip cookies, and a large pop I opt for a smaller GRILLED chicken salad with water!!
I have always been a fried chicken type of girl and a couple weeks ago I decided to try grilled chicken for the first time though I have eaten salads a lot at lunch time.

It's also crazy how much I'm willing to try different foods like hummus. I have always been a picky eater and decided to give it a try and I actually really like it! Who would've thought!

I have been really trying to focus on how far I have come versus how much more I have to go which can be hard especially since I have only 57 days to meet my original goal of losing 100lbs by my daughters birthday. Even though it will not be a year exactly that I started my lifestyle change, it will be about the 11 month mark, I still want that big number. If I don't lose any more weight before then, though I'm going to try my damnedest, I will still be happy with my progress thus far.

Also another thing that has amazed me is that I get pretty mad when I don't get to workout/run in on the days I plan to. It practically ruins my night.
For instance I planned to go workout tues night but I woke up that morning with the worst crick in my neck I have ever had to the point that I couldn't even move my neck much at all and it lasted til some of the next day. Then wed I had a bad headache off an on all day by the time I was about to walk out the door and head to the gym my tension headache had gotten so bad that I threw up my dinner, my throat hurt bad, and I was just nauseous from the dang thing!
Thursday we had plans with some friends so of course I couldn't get to the gym so yes I enjoyed some adult time but I pouted for a little bit after that fun.
I never would've expected to care so much about missing a workout or get excited about having a grilled chicken salad for lunch. Crazy but I'm happy with myself for being healthy!!


A diet is a fad for a short period of time. This is not something that will end, it's a lifestyle change!
