Yoga


For most of my life I thought yoga was nothing more than a hippie trend. I didn't think it had anything to do with strength, athletisms, balance, stress relief, and overall well being(which it does).

It looks so easy I thought ANYONE could easily do it, no problem! 

 I literally would say a snarky comment and laugh whenever someone would talk about it. I thought it was just weird! Lifting weights and running I always understood but not yoga.

Since I started my journey last year I have been slowly opening myself up to new and different things no matter what my past self used to think. Occasionally I still would see on social media sites and hear people talk about yoga. I NEVER thought that I would ever like or want to do yoga!!!

But I do. 

I honestly think that it is way more tough than lifting weights! Seeing as you have to lift your body weight, balance, and all while breathing calmly. It takes a lot patience as well. 

I haven't ever had great balance and wasn't ever that flexible [unless I had been drinking ;)]. But like I said in yesterday's post I am really enjoying it and am actually getting better everyday. 


As you can see the baby has really been enjoying doing poses with me! 

I started a month long challenge to do at least one pose that is assigned by yoga inthusiasts/instructors via IG(Instagram) So I will be posting more poses throughout the month.

-Always keep an open mind... you never know where it will lead you!
