Recap of the weekend.

I have been so busy this last week that I honestly haven't had time to blog, watch tv, or even check social media sites much. My dvr is filling up fast!

Unfortunately the office life has crept up on my waistline. Just last week there has been 3 cakes, 2 dozen donuts, a couple bowls of chocolate, a big tupperware dish full of homemade cookies, chips and salsa, chocolate covered strawberries and more just at work. I have only indulged in probably 1/4th of that but still it's more than I have been allowing myself. Outside of work I have been drinking a couple beers every other night (due to stress) and got a good buzz at my husbands surprise birthday cookout Saturday night. I hardly drink.. ever but here lately I've been enjoying it more and more.

This weekend was full of food and bad (eating) decisions but we all had fun.

Friday after I got off work I cleaned the house top to bottom knowing I wouldn't be able to any other time during the weekend.

Saturday the family and I went to a March of Dimes event at the park. McDonalds catered the event and they had a bounce house for the kids. It wasn't as big as I was told that it was going to be. The event ended a couple hours after it began when it was suppose to be an all day thing. I wasn't even hungry but couldn't turn down free McDonalds, I had 2 cheeseburgers and 6 chicken nuggets that was well over 780 cals. After that we went and played at 2 parks with our friends and their kids.

While my husband was being distracted with beer by his cousin who was stalling so we could set up the surprise party I was stuffing my face with handfuls of cookies and brownies. You would think after all the fast food I scarfed down I wouldn't eat anymore but I had quite a few beers, birthday cake, a cheeseburger, a hot dog, and a handful of chips. I'm not too happy with myself or the way my clothes are fitting this week.

Sunday our family brought us dinner and we lounged and enjoyed each others company for the day. I went on my first run in a month outside. The pavement was kinder than I thought it would be. I ran a little over 2 miles. The first 1/2 mile hurt and I wanted to turn back. I forgot to turn my location on on my phone so I was being told the wrong mileage from my app. I thought I had gone at least 3 miles but that's ok. I'm just glad that I enjoyed that run and will jump right back on that saddle. As you have read in my past posts I fell out of love with running but and going to slowly start back into it.

I have been doing great with not weighing myself... until this morning. I saw the worst number I have seen in a very long time on the scale!
I told my husband and instead of throwing me a pity party he asked me, "so what are you going I do about it?"
I told him I have been working my ass off to lose more weight. Then I thought... well I may have been 'working' my ass off at the gym but my eating hasn't been good for the past week. So I guess I had another ah-ha moment and will pay closer attention to my eating from here on out... at least till our anniversary night out on the 24th.
